  • Dr Judith Carney
    MA VetMB Cert VR MACVSc

    Judith Carney qualified as a Vet from Cambridge in 1985. Judith has furthered her particular interest in Diagnostic Imaging, gaining qualifications in Radiology both in U.K. and Australia. She is a current member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in the field of Diagnostic Imaging.

    Judith founded Mulberry Lane Vet Hospital in November 2010, following her passion of high quality Veterinary Medicine and Surgery with state of the art facilities, yet with kind, compassionate, friendly service, taking care of you and your pet.

    Judith lives on a small acreage on the outskirts of Orange with her husband, Rob and her 2 girls Anwen and Rhoslyn. They have a menagerie of poll Herefords, a Clydesdale X Percheron called Sir Galahad, two dogs called Bailey and Rigby, two RSPCA cats called Pandora and Sapphira and a rabbit called Tyler.

    To relax Judith rows, plays the Saxophone in 2 bands at the ORC, walks her dogs and catches up with friends for a coffee.

  • Dr Emily Carter
    BVSc Hons

    Dr Emily has had a varied and interesting journey to come to Orange!. She grew up on a cattle property  in Queensland and graduated with her Bachelor of Veterinary medicine from University of Queensland. After working in a mixed veterinary practice in Western Queensland she gained experience by working as a locum vet, working on the family farm, volunteering as a vet in the Cook Islands and backpacking around South America, before returning to Australia and working in Emergency Vet medicine at the James Cook University Hospital in Townsville. Her areas of professional interest include emergency and critical care medicine and soft tissue surgery. She loves working in a rural area and mentoring young vets too. 

    Outside work, Emily enjoys running, swimming, cooking and horse riding. She also plays the piano and loves spending time with her partner and family, and Andy the Kelpie!

  • Dr Kate Ireland
    BScAgr (Hons), BVS.
    Dr Kate Ireland was brought up in Sydney and trained at Sydney Uni where she gained two degrees. Once qualified as a vet, she worked across the Central West, the Hunter Valley and in Sydney but has recently settled in Springside.
    Her Vet interests are puppy training, preventative and geriatric medicine for small animals, and she also breeds horses for top class competition. Kate adores labradors and is a Puppy Pal for the NSW/ACT Guide Dogs association, helping to sponsor guide dog pups. She is hoping to train a therapy dog to visit hospitals and nursing homes.
    She enjoys photography and would love to have more time to garden and cook!

  • Dr Nicolla Rowlands
    BVSc (Hons)

    Dr Nicolla joined the Mulberry Lane team in June 2019. She was born in Country NSW but brought up on the Gold Coast and qualified as a vet at University of Queensland. She then completed an Internship at a specialist veterinary referral centre in Brisbane where she gained experience in internal vet medicine, oncology, surgery and emergency. Nicolla says she is happy to be returning to her country roots and to be working in general vet practice. Her favourite parts of her work are seeing our orthopaedic patients and surgery. Outside work, Nicolla enjoys hiking, riding and spending time with her friends. 

    One interesting fact is that during her training, Nicolla was lucky enough to spend two periods in Africa doing wildlife medicine. She has treated rhinos and knows what its like to give an anti-arthritis injection to a giraffe!

  • Dr Hannah Schulz
    BVetBio, BVetSc

    Dr Hannah is a country girl who went to school locally in Molong and Bathurst. She gained her Veterinary qualifications at CSU in Wagga and during her training, gained a wide range of experience working with small animals as well as on different farms - ranging from cotton farms to dairy, sheep and cattle properties! After graduating, Hannah worked in the South Island of New Zealand where she fell in love with the rugged scenery in Fjordland and enjoyed outdoor activities like surfing, fishing, rugby and skiing. Hannah loves the variety in her work at Mulberry Lane too. She has two border collies called Woolly and Moose!

  • Dr Sian Taggart
    BSc, DVM

    Dr Sian joined the Mulberry Lane team in spring of 2019. She was born in New Zealand and grew up in China and in India before moving to Australia where she was raised in South Australia. Sian says she loved science throughout school but didn't decide until Yr 12 that Veterinary medicine would be the path for her. After gaining her veterinary degree, Sian completed an internship at a specialist vet hospital in Queensland, where she gained experience in emergency medicine and surgery, before moving to a general vet practice in South Australia. Her favourite parts of her work at Mulberry Lane are emergency and surgical procedures. Outside work she loves running with Mowgli, her Shepherd/Border collie/Kelpie cross.

  • Dr Geoff Campbell
    BVSc (Hons 1)

    Geoff Campbell graduated from Sydney University in 2002. Since graduation, Geoff has worked as a vet in Mudgee, Newcastle and Sydney. He also spent 18 months working in North Yorkshire, England.

    Geoff has a particular interest in small-animal surgery and orthopaedics. He lives on a rural property near Orange now with his 3 cats, Bill, Jacob and Mum.

    To relax, Geoff enjoys bushwalking, cross-country skiing and tasting the great food Orange has to offer!
