  • Hayley
    Vet nurse

Hayley hails from WA, and began her animal career there as a kennel hand and then a stable hand, working as a pacing stable foreman and track worker while she studied for her Equine Management Cert 2. She finished her studies with an award for being Outstanding Student of the Year before going on to gain her Cert 4 in Veterinary Nursing in 2005, doing extra study in the care of horses and of birds. In 2015 she drove East to NSW, heading across the Nullarbor and bringing all her beloved pets and even a magpie with her! The horse came over later, and they are now very much at home in Orange. Hayley has a passion for animal behaviour and she loves to befriend and gain the trust of animals every day.

Her love of animals really shines through at work and she has lots of pets too. Mark is a 17 yr old Standardbred stallion, she also has two dogs, a senior cat called Sausage, four Galahs called Bart, George, Dicky and Blu, and Harry the Cockatiel! Outside work, Hayley enjoys photography and getting out in to nature.

  • Ash
    Vet nurse

Ashleigh gained her "Cert IV" in Veterinary Nursing in 2016. During her training she did work experience at Mulberry Lane, so we are very glad to have her back as a qualified Vet nurse - she loves all aspects of small animal care but particularly the surgical care side of Vet nursing.

Ash was born in Orange but now lives outside town with her Pomeranian called Moo, and a Jack Russell cross called Spud. She loves large animals as well as small - she owns a 3 yr old Quarter horse and really enjoys getting out on the water on her skis too!

  • Hannah
    Vet nurse

Ever since she was in Preschool, Hannah has wanted to work with animals! She studied hard through 8 different schools and has lived in Queensland, but is now back in Orange where she studied for her Cert IV through the Orange TAFE. She qualified in 2016 and enjoys all aspects of small animal care especially pathology and surgery. One day she would like to gain nursing experience with zoo animals and her favourite animal is a Meerkat. She has a cat called Molly, 4 dogs called Milly, Billy, Bruce and Sally, a pet sheep called Woolly and a pet cow called Tilly!  Outside work she likes 4WheelDriving and hanging out with her family and friends.

  • Lucy
    Vet nurse
Lucy joined the Mulberry Lane team in 2018. She was brought up in Parkes and trained at Orange TAFE where she gained her Cert4 in Vet Nursing in 2007. Lucy has worked in a range of Vet clinics across the Central West and isn't afraid of really giving things a go - a few years ago she was working full time, building a house and studying by distance Education for another qualification, all at once! This second qualification is a Diploma in General Practice Vet Nursing which took 3 years of work. It involved studying units in advanced Veterinary nursing, customer service, clinic management and training plus practical assessments and a detailed case study.

As you can see, Lucy loves variety at work and her favourite things are pathology and taking care of our inpatients in the hospital. Outside work, Lucy enjoys running with her dogs, reading and music - she has a beautiful voice and is learning the cello. Lucy has two cats and two dogs - Bain the Great Dane cross, and Jessie the red cattle dog.
