Wednesday 6 June, clients and friends of Mulberry Lane Vet Clinic enjoyed a very special afternoon tea. Over 40 people gathered at the Ambassador Motel in Orange for an event, which combined education, fun and fundraising for a good cause. Judith Carney and the Mulberry Lane team were on hand to welcome their guests, who enjoyed a delicious traditional afternoon tea before settling down to enjoy short talks by veterinary experts. Guests learned about what happens to cats and dogs as they age, how to recognise signs and problems of ageing and how to help older pets get the most out of life in their senior years. The talks managed to be informative and funny at the same time and there were many laughs at the wonderful slides, which Judith used to accompany her presentation.

A very generous raffle meant that many guests went home with prizes at the end of the evening - treats for themselves and for their pets. Over $200 was raised for the Australia's Biggest Morning Tea cancer charity.

Judith and the team would like to thank so many clients and friends who came out on a winter afternoon to support the event, and also the representatives from Ceva, Idexx and Boehringer Inglelheim. Dominic Dellosa (Idexx) and Kristy Blakely (B.I.) gave their time and expertise to present informative but light-hearted talks which helped all of us understand the aging process in our pets.
