Bronco's shiny smile!

bronco dental 1

Have you ever wondered what a scale and polish on a dog actually looks like? Bronco is a very special friend of Mulberry Lane - he is a guide dog for Matt, and comes to see us for his check ups. In order to keep Bronco in tip top health, he recently had a dental procedure to check and clean all his teeth. After an anaesthetic to keep Bronco nice and still, each tooth was carefully assessed and then cleaned. If Judith had found any evidence of dental disease, the teeth and roots could have been checked with our state of the art digital Xray machine. A special torch is then used to check all the plaque has been removed. Regular dental checks are essential for all cats and dogs, as dental disease can be painful and cause harm to your pets health. This photo shows the UV light being used to check that each of Broncos teeth is free of plaque.

judith and smock the beagle

A "Hospital of Excellence"  Judith and the team are delighted to announce that our new hospital has received accreditation by the Australian Small Animal Veterinarians (ASAV). Judith proudly received the award at the recent AVA conference and the citation mentions the high standards of surgical, diagnostic and nursing care which we provide to small animals. There were only 8 hospitals with this level of accreditation in the whole of NSW and we are now the 9th, and the first west of the Blue Mountains. The new hospital building was purpose built to achieve the high standards set by the ASAV, but the building and the team still had to undergo a rigorous assessment to ensure the highest possible standards of care.  It was exhausting but very well worth it and we are delighted to have the plaque now proudly on display in reception!

Moving house in 2017!

We are moving in 2017! Our new home is taking shape on the corner of March St and Lord's Place. Locals will know the building as "The old Petbarn" but it will be unrecognisable when its our new, purpose built Vet Hospital. Large airy reception area with separate waiting places for cats and dogs, new operating theatres and well laid out consulting rooms mean this building will be a special place for your pet to get the best loving care. There is a lot of work to do, but 2017 will be an exciting year for Mulberry Lane Vet!
